Tom Vahdat, First Academy Player to Set Foot on the Murrayfield Pitch!
This weekend, Tom Vahdat, one of our academy players, experienced a truly unique and unforgettable moment: he played in the final of the Scottish Cup with the Glasgow Accies RFC First Team, on the legendary turf of BT Murrayfield Stadium!
In only his second appearance with the senior team, Tom had the honor of playing 20 minutes on the largest rugby field in Scotland, a massive reward for his daily dedication, focus, and progress since joining the academy.
Having already made a decisive impact in the semi-final with a try, Tom took part this time in a hard-fought match against GHA RFC, another partner club of the academy. Despite a 45–30 defeat, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stay with him forever.
Tom is now the first-ever academy player to play on this legendary pitch—a powerful symbol of the values we stand for every day: hard work, humility, progress, and passion.
The season may be coming to a close for him, but his journey is just beginning—and we’ll prodly be by his side every step of the way.
