A Style and Mentality

An Elite Performance Programme

The Edusport Academy is a football academy unlike anywhere else.

Our unique learning environment offers our players the opportunity to train every day in quality facilities alongside coaches UEFA Pro and UEFA A Licensed.

Because we offer professional conditions, we require 100% involvement and support for the project. We ask our players to take responsibility for their own development, and stress that their future depends on their good attitude, their work and their mentality.

With a modern coaching philosophy, combined with traditional values, the goal of the academy is to educate our young players about new styles and new mindsets in the game of football. A rewarding experience, thus ensuring a complete development of our footballers on the technical, tactical, mental and personal levels.

Member of the Scottish Football Association

The first academy affiliated with FIFA

Since 2014 the Edusport Academy has become a real professional club. We are a member of the Scottish Football Association (SFA), making it the first and only football academy in the world to be an official member of a FIFA affiliated federation.

The Edusport Academy also obtained the prestigious "National Club License" in 2016. This award recognises the combination of a number of standards and procedures in terms of football, facilities, legislation, administration and finance.

Come and Evolve

The Scottish Leagues

During league matches, national cup competitions, as well as friendly games organized against professional clubs, our players regularly test themselves in high-level environments. All matches are filmed, and an individual highlight clip is produced for each player at the end of the season to showcase and support their development.

Originally created as a simple football academy, Edusport Academy has now evolved into a modern, fully structured football club, recognized for its professionalism by the Scottish Football Association.

The project is currently built around a group of around twenty players who train and develop daily in a demanding environment focused on progression. In addition to official matches, players also take part in friendly games to gain further experience and accelerate their development.

Depending on their level and progression, some players may be integrated into more competitive settings, or even loaned to partner clubs, in order to continue their development and experience even more demanding playing environments.

Our Teams

Our players compete weekly in the Lowland Development League (U20), a competitive league that ensures an official and demanding match rhythm throughout the season.

To maximize their progression and exposure, we regularly organize friendly matches against professional clubs and elite academies. Depending on their developmental needs, players may also be loaned to partner clubs to gain valuable experience and additional game time.

The Caledonian Braves, born from the Academy’s promotion in 2017 following our South of Scotland League title, now compete in the Lowland League (5th division). The club serves as a concrete showcase and a high-level challenge for Academy players: through total commitment, flawless attendance, and exemplary professionalism on a daily basis, the top performers can earn the opportunity to join the Caledonian Braves squad. It is the direct reward for those with the discipline required to reach the next level.

The Professional Club of the Academy

CALEDONIAN BRAVES

In 2014, Edusport Academy became a professional club in Scotland, making the Caledonian Braves the natural extension of the academy and offering its players a real challenge, with the opportunity to progress into the first team competing in the 5th tier of Scottish football. The club quickly established itself as the youngest professional project in the country, designed as a direct pathway to senior and elite football.

To launch the 2019–2020 season, the club entered a new era and changed its name: “Edusport Academy” became the Caledonian Braves, affirming a strong, modern and international identity.

A name chosen by the club’s supporters from all around the world, as since 2018 the project has been open to anyone who wishes to become an “owner”, subscribe, immerse themselves in the governance of the club, vote on key decisions, engage with the staff, and actively help shape the history of the club — and of football itself.

Today, the Caledonian Braves have competed for 7 seasons in the Lowland League and bring together more than 8,500 owners worldwide.

Last season, the club made history by winning the Fenix Trophy in Italy, an international competition that celebrates innovative and forward-thinking football projects.
