From Glasgow to Paris: A Journey of Innovation
Born in Glasgow, Chris Ewing embarked on an ambitious path that led him to Paris, France, profoundly shaping his vision of combining football with education and travel. His experiences playing professionally with Motherwell and later studying in the United States inspired him to establish Edusport Academy in 2011. Initially focused on helping young international students enhance their football skills and learn English, Edusport evolved significantly, leading to the creation of Caledonian Braves F.C., now competing in the Lowland Football League.
Overcoming Challenges and Building Recognition
During the interview, Chris shared insights on overcoming initial challenges, including securing entry into the South of Scotland League and gaining full membership of the Scottish Football Association. He highlighted the club’s innovative business model, driven by technology, content creation, and crowdfunding, attracting over 850 international investors from 30 countries, including the United States.
